HunGuard Ltd. has been working in the field of information technology product and system audit, evaluation and certification and IT security consultancy since 1990.

In the domain of evaluation HunGuard Ltd. deals with several areas of IT communication and system security, from which the followings are emphasised:

Security evaluation of software products for security-critical software, following the requirements of the model defined in [MSZ ISO/IEC 15408] and the relevant [ISO/IEC 18045] evaluation method.

Evaluation of cryptographic security of software products for software modules implementing cryptographic mechanisms, based on the security requirements for cryptographic modules defined in [ISO/IEC 19790].

Software product quality evaluation based on [ISO/IEC 25051].

Based on legal authorisation HunGuard Ltd. was assigned as an electronic signature product certification authority by the minister in charge of informatics supervision, first in December 2002, and since then periodically prolonging this authorisation. In the previous years the company has certified several electronic signature products, and the certificates have been registered and published by the National Communications Authority. HunGuard Ltd. has been fulfilled the requirements of MSZ ISO/IEC 9001 and MSZ ISO/IEC 27001 standards, and its quality assurance system regulating product certification activities complies with MSZ EN 45011:1999.

The highly qualified IT staff of HunGuard Ltd. consists of engineers, mathematicians and IT experts. Several of them have obtained academic degree and special expert qualifications (CISSP: Certified Information Systems Security Professional), and are members of special academic associations (e.g. IACR: International Association for Cryptologic Research, ACM: Association for Computer Machinery, Hungarian Association for Electronic Signature).
